Alban Patent Services was founded by Iain Whitaker, an experienced UK Chartered Patent Attorney ( UK Patent Agent) and European Patent Attorney
 
Iain Whitaker is a Chartered UK Patent Agent and European Patent Attorney with over eighteen years of experience in the profession.
 
Organisational Memberships:

  • Member of the European Patent Institute (EPI) 
  • Regulated by IPReg
  • Recognised Representative for the Registered Community Design (OHIM)

Prior to setting up Alban Patent Services, Iain worked at the largest firm of patent agents in the UK - Marks & Clerk, St Albans.  As a Senior Associate attorney, he acted for a wide range of clients -  from individual inventors, small start-ups and SMEs through to leading universities and the largest    international blue-chip corporations.
 
Iain Whitaker has comprehensive expertise across the complete spectrum of intellectual property rights including patents, designs, trademarks, copyrights and know-how.
 
Iain Whitaker has extensive experience of patenting inventions and ideas across a diverse range of industrial / technological sectors such as:

(such as UK and Community Unregistered Design Rights and copyright), as well as registered rights including UK and Community Registered designs.
